All About Emerald

This gemstone has been enchanting royals, jewellers, and stone lovers for ages. For thousands of years, the world has been falling in love with Emeralds. Some Emeralds can even surpass diamonds in value when comparing carat to carat.

Known as the stone of successful love, Emerald is said to bring domestic bliss and loyalty. It is also said to enhance unity, unconditional love and partnership and promotes friendship.

A symbol of romance and rebirth, Emerald opens your heart chakra and calms your emotions. Emerald is in the beryl stone family, which means it is a close cousin of Aquamarine and Morganite. Emerald gets its green coloring from trace amounts of chromium and/or vanadium.

The oldest known Emerald mine is in Egypt - it dates back to 3000 BCE! Cleopatra adorned herself and her palace with emeralds and also gave them as gifts to foreign dignitaries.
