A round dark green tourmaline cabochon, bezel set in sterling silver with a rope border. The rope border catches light all the way around the stone's edge, giving the setting a brightness and texture that frames the deep colour of the tourmaline perfectly. The darker the stone, the more the silver does to illuminate it.

This green is not light or leafy. It is the deep, saturated green of a forest interior — the colour of old growth.
